Made from apricot tree to convey the ethereal legacy of a nation, the duduk is a symbol of Armenian culture. One of its internationally renowned masters, Gevorg Dabaghyan, arrives in Veszprém with his trio to take their audience on a journey to the Caucasus.
The reedy warmth, ancient melodies and sweet melancholy bespeak centuries of Armenian joys and sorrows, lead by an instrument on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list. The heritage of the first Christian nation, the wonder of the orient and the struggles of a nation condensed in sound on the stage of FOTON.

The event is part of the InterUrban project, organized by the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture. During the one-year InterUrban period, 29 cities will visit Veszprém with 150 programmes over 50 weeks, in two-week rotations.
